The ISS Lives

According to a Wall Street Journal article shared by the blog Universe Today, "Fifteen partnering nations have agreed in principle to extend the life of the International Space Station, and keep it operating through 2020". Before this news, the station was set to shut it's doors in 2015. Luckly, the additional 5 years allows new space companies to take advantage of the ISS' free resources. This is important because the 5 years allows for the ISS to take part in the 2015 Maslow Window, which is predicted to be a time where space companies will thrive. In short, this additional time allows for the developement of the economic resources that are needed to take full advantage of the International Space Station.
