The Mars Society is Accepting (Simulated) Space Inhabitants

That's right, The Mars Society is looking for crew for the for the 9th season of the Mars Desert Research Station, a simulation of a Mars base. All you need to do is send your resume to mdrs-applications@marssociety.org and fill out this online application. This isn't free, there is a $1,000 dollar charge to be a lab rat, but you'll be a space colonist, which is epic. There are grants available, so it is possible to have the costs covered. The available times to serve as a space inhabitant are: Nov. 28-Dec. 11, Dec. 12-Dec. 26, Jan. 9-Jan. 23, Jan. 24-Feb. 7, Feb. 7-Feb. 20, March 21-April 3 and April 4-April 18. You will be required to take samples of soil and collect samples of extremophiles. Also, you'll be subject to non-invasive medical tests and you'll participate in a food study.
